Paula Knapp
Paula started ringing bells in 1982 at the First Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, NM. She has a degree in Elementary Education and has specialized in early childhood development. Paula is also an accomplished trumpet player and the mother of two young adults who have both caught the bell fever along with her husband Rick. She has been a member of BOC since 2000. Her daughter Jessica is also ringing with BOC. Currently Paula is the handbell director at Columbia Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, WA. She is also a volunteer Firefighter/EMT with East County Fire and Rescue and a volunteer with Silver Star Search and Rescue in Washougal, WA. Paula and Rick are also the owners of Gold Coast Music Company, specializing in music, accessories and gifts for handbells. They have 2 toy poodles and a black lab who travel with them to bell festivals.
