Karin McDonough (Publicity Committee Chair)
Karin first rang bells in 1981 when her uncle, a minister of music, shanghaied her into a rehearsal while she was visiting during Spring Break vacation. Karin has been ringing with the Sanctuary Bells at First United Methodist Church in Portland, Oregon since 1990, and with the Bells of the Cascades since 1995. Karin directs 2 youth handbell choirs at her church and performs as a solo ringer. At BOC workshops, Karin teaches bass techniques, solo & ensemble ringing, and rhythm & team building. When not ringing, Karin works as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Nike, Inc. Karin is mother to one college-aged son and two dogs. She is married to fellow BOC member, Tim McDonough.
