Experience a luxurious cruise vacation to the sunny Caribbean, along with handbells, on Holland America's Veendam.  Bells of the Cascades' "Caribbellan Cruise" takes place January 5-12, 2002, sailing from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  We are offering a wonderful rate, beginning at just $948 per person double occupancy for an inside cabin, which includes port taxes. (Airfare is not included.) Holland America has a "no tipping" policy.

Also included is a two-and-a-half-day workshop featuring Dr. William Payn as massed-ringing clinician, and concerts by the Bells of the Cascades. The optional handbell activities take place aboard ship while the ship is at sea.  Our team of teachers has many years of experience working with both cruisers and landlubbers on handbell techniques.  This is the sixth Bells of the Cascades cruise.

Ports of call include San Juan, the US Virgin Islands, Nassau and Half Moon Cay, a private island owned by Holland America.  There are no scheduled handbell activities while the ship is visiting ports of call.  We will set sail from Ft. Lauderdale on January 5th, which is a Saturday.  For west coast folks, one night's stay in an area hotel the night before sailing will be included in your airfare, if it is arranged through the cruise line.  Transfers to and from the ship will also be included.
